2011 Race Results and Photos

Ok, we've posted the race results here: http://molokai.spruz.com/2011-results.htm

Congratulations to Jeremy Riggs who took first for a second year in a row on a 14' SUP board with a time of 1.07.00 - just 3 seconds off his 2010 time!

Devin Blish conquered the women's field with a time of 1.14.19. Molokai's Clint Labrador represented the Friendly Isle well taking first with in the unlimited division in 1.12.10.

All of here on Molokai would like to thank new and returning friends from Maui and Oahu who helped to make this event a pleasure to host - here's to seeing all again next year!

WPA Sanctioning SNAFU

I want tot make it clear that our 2011 race was not sanctioned by WPA - my apologies for it was our intention that it would be. About a week before the race it was brought to our attention that there was a communication breakdown and that WPA had not received the paperwork that we had sent. Again, my apologies if this effects any of our competitors.

Sunday Fun Paddle

Looks like some folks are going to be sticking around for a fun run on the Sunday after the race. If you'd like to join the group, call Clare at 808-336-0946.

Ground Transport

We have added some detail regarding grounds transportation to make things easier once you get to Molokai. This pertains to Maui paddlers arriving on the Molokai Ferry on Saturday morning:

Ground Transportation

We will provide pickup Saturday morning for paddlers, their families and boards for a minor fee. The same van will ferry paddlers to the starting line, and, after the race, drop off at the ferry for the afternoon trip back to Maui.

For questions regarding ground transportation call Clare Mawae: 808-36-0946.

Hotel Molokai is experiencing high volume during the race weekend and has only one or two rooms left. They are still the race's official finish line and awards location - plus they've got great food.
